Our 20 bed Hospital provides treatment for acute medical conditions and conditions including rehabilitation following surgery, respite care, palliative care services, support in transitioning from hospital to home following a hospital admission.
Patients are admitted to the health service and treated by General Practitioners from the Yarram Medical Centre.
Our Hospital provides an Urgent Care department providing 24 hour medical care to the Yarram and surrounding district community. The Urgent Care department, with access via Nicol Street is serviced by private General Practitioners and Yarram and District Health Service nurses. Patients who attend the Urgent Care department for treatment will be billed for the service. The cost of any ambulance transfers is the responsibility of the patient.
Telehealth is also available in Urgent Care between 9pm and 7am for Triage Categories 4 & 5. The attached Telehealth Patient Information Booklet provides step by step information on how Telehealth works.
